Harbour & Jones relaunches Henry Moore pub

Contract caterer Harbour & Jones](http://www.harbourandjones.com/) has collaborated with the [Henry Moore Foundation](http://www.henry-moore.org) to relaunch a Hertfordshire pub that will cater for art lovers.

The Hoops Inn in Perry Green, near Much Hadham, will re-open on 27 November this year. Harbour & Jones will run the catering operation at the venue, which is a beer house dating back to the early 19th century.

Perry Green is the site of sculptor Henry Moore's former home of 40 years and the Foundation, set up in 1977, looks after the largest collection of his works, from outdoor sculptures to drawings.

The 45-cover pub has been sympathetically restored by architects Kay Pilsbury and Partners and Design LSM, and is sensitive to its surroundings. The emphasis is on natural materials such as wood and slate, while many of the pub's original features, including its wooden beams and large fireplace, have been preserved.

Candice Webber (previously head chef at The Restaurant at St Paul's) will lead the kitchen team, in association with long-term management couple and former Good Pub Guide Inn of the Year winners Lowri and Mark Williams.

Richard Calvocoressi, director of The Henry Moore Foundation commented: "We are very excited about opening the Hoops Inn, and about the quality of the dining experience we can now offer locals and visitors to The Foundation. Over the past year we have worked closely with Harbour & Jones and have benefited greatly from their guidance and standards. We hope our new venture will have the rural informality of a village pub, but with the innovation and modernity that the Moores brought to life at Perry Green."
