Caterplus wins £3.2m contract with Jewish Care charity
Caterplus has been awarded a £3.2m catering contract with health and social care charity Jewish Care at its new flagship care campus in Golders Green, London.
The five-year deal sees Caterplus provide a range of care facilities to older members of the Jewish community at the Maurice and Vivienne Wohl Campus. These include 45 independent living apartments, a 54-bed nursing and dementia care home, a community centre and the charity's administrative and support functions.
Caterplus will also manage the community centre meal service for approximately 100 people a day, offering both a three-course lunchtime meal and a café for the centre's visitors, members, volunteers and staff.
The caterer will also operate a full-service fine-dining restaurant, providing evening meals in the independent living apartments.
David Penlington, sales director for Caterplus, said: "Around 400 people will use this new care campus every day, making it by far our largest kosher catering site to date. The sheer volume of staff and supplies required bring their own challenges, but we have established a bespoke infrastructure system and are confident the campus will be a huge success."
