Former Clapham House boss backing Rocca expansion

Rocca, the London pizza brand backed by former Clapham House chairman David Page, is to open a second site early next year.

The second Rocca is set to debut in South-London's Dulwich Village in February at a former independent site that took its name from iconic French singer Edith Piaf.

The current Rocca is part of Christie's auction house in South Kensington, London, and offers pasta, pizza and breads made on the premises.

Page said it was "making good money" and although it featured no discounting its value for money offer was proving a hit with consumers, with bookings up 25% on last year despite the current tough trading environment.

Page, who founded Clapham House Group with Paul Campbell in 2003, left the business on Friday (26 November) after its sale to Nando's owner Capricorn Ventures.

Campbell yesterday revealed plans to launch a restaurant investment fund Hill Capital, having left Clapham House also.
