CH&Co receives Red Tractor approval

Independent contract caterer CH&Co has received approval from the Red Tractor food assurance scheme.

The Red Tractor kite mark guarantees standards and traceability throughout the food chain, while giving reassurance to the customer that what they are eating is whole chain British.

CH&Co will be using the logo on its menus to identify products that comply with the Red Tractor scheme.

Caroline Fry, joint managing director of CH&Co, said: "We have been working closely with Assured Food Standards to show that a multi-site business like us can include Red Tractor-approved products across a diverse range of food.

"It has been a big and very worthwhile investment. We believe the Assured Food Standards scheme is particularly relevant and appropriate to our business as it covers all aspects of the supply chain, from farm to fork."

Nick von Wetenholz, government affairs adviser for the National Farmers Union, added: "In these economically unstable times it is heartening to know that companies still value their customers and that they will be benefiting from having access to high quality food."

The plaque will be unveiled at Farmers' & Fletchers' Hall, part of CH&Co's Chester Boyd portfolio.
