Caprice Holdings to launch steakhouse in Mayfair

Restaurant group Caprice Holdings is to open a new restaurant in London's Mayfair next year.

The owner of the Ivy, Le Caprice and J Sheekey will open steakhouse 34 off Grosvenor Square early next summer.

The restaurant will serve a menu focused on rare breed steaks and seasonal game from the grill, next to a selection of lighter dishes.

Interiors will be designed by Martin Brudnizki and include a bespoke charcoal grill as well as design elements inspired by English and Art Deco architecture.

The announcement of the opening of 34 follows hot on the heels of US-based chef Wolfgang Puck's forthcoming arrival in London, with the launch of CUT, a contemporary steak restaurant, at 45 Park Lane, the Dorchester Collection hotel due to launch next spring.

Owned by Richard Caring, Caprice Holdings' London portfolio includes Scott's, Daphne's, Bam-Bou and two Rivington Grills as well as private members' clubs George, Mark's, Annabel's and Harry's Bar.
