Judy Joo appointed executive chef at Playboy Club London

Former Morgan Stanley trader Judy Joo has been appointed as executive chef of the Playboy Club London, which will open in late spring.

As part of her remit, the former Iron Chef contestant, who previously worked as a pastry chef at Gordon Ramsay's three-Michelin-starred restaurant on Royal Hospital Road, will oversee the private members' club's Dining Room restaurant.

Located on the first floor of the Mayfair venue, which will also feature a cocktail bar, members' lounge, table games and "high-limit salon privé gaming rooms", the restaurant will be open to members only. Interiors will be developed by London design studio Jestico & Whiles.

Joo commented: "My goal is to create a unique gastronomic experience that complements the club. I am very excited to be working with London Clubs International (LCI) and Playboy on this venture, and am confident that with our combined experience and reputation, we will create the ultimate restaurant destination in the capital."

The Playboy Club London is a joint venture between LCI and Playboy Enterprises and will open in late May/early June.
