Adult-only spa hotel to open in Lancashire
A new adult-only spa hotel is to open adjacent to the family-focused Ribby Hall Village in Wrea Green, Lancashire in July.
The 42-bedroom Spa Hotel is being developed at a cost of £5m within the 100-acre grounds of Ribby Hall, which offers luxury self-catering accommodation and a wide range of leisure facilities. It will have a brasserie, bar and gym, as well as 14 treatment rooms.
Malcolm King, who has previously worked on the Plaza in New York, and the Royal Yacht, hotel and spa in Jersey, is designing the property, which will create 70 new jobs.
Paul Harrison, managing director at Ribby Hall Village, said that the Spa Hotel is being created in response to consumer demand for a new luxury spa destination in the North-west.
"Many hotels, gyms and leisure centres have added on spa facilities over the last few years, but we are offering so much more," he said. "The Spa Hotel at Ribby Hall Village is a purpose-built spa destination in itself.
"We will be offering one of the most extensive collections of treatments, physical therapies and well being services in the UK, some of which will be UK-firsts."
