Campbell Gray parts company with One Aldwych hotel
Campbell Gray Hotels has parted company with the private owner of One Aldwych hotel in London.
The move means that hotelier Gordon Campbell Gray now has no UK hotels in his collection, after Dukes hotel in London last year ended its four-year association with his management company to continue independently.
Campbell Gray's firm now has two hotels remaining in its collection - Carlisle Bay in Antigua and Le Gray in Beirut.
A spokesman for One Aldwych confirmed that the hotel, which has been privately owned by the same unnamed owner since it opened 12 and a half years ago, had parted company with Campbell Gray Hotels. The hotel will continue to operate independently under general manager Stefan Soennichsen. "The hotel is very much Gordon's vision, and it is business as usual," the spokesman said.
Campbell Gray is expected to look at developing further hotels overseas.
