Hotel du Vin to open 10 restaurants over five years

Boutique hotel group Hotel du Vin plans to open 10 new Bistro du Vin restaurants over the next five years, following on from the launch of the first Bistro du Vin next month.

It emerged last month that the company had taken over Bjorn van der Horst's Eastside Inn in Clerkenwell and planned to relaunch it as the capital's first Bistro du Vin in April.

Hotel du Vin has also indicated that it has already secured a second London site for the next Bistro du Vin, although it would not be drawn on exactly where the new site is.

The Bistro du Vin in Clerkenwell will offer an all-day menu from breakfast through to late-night dinner until 3am with the menus overseen by Hotel du Vin chefs Keith Shearer and John Woodward.

Master sommelier Ronan Sayburn will oversee the 500-bin wine offering and has employed the winner of Michel Roux's Service, Danielle Meenagh, as a sommelier following her six-month placement at the Hotel du Vin in Winchester.
