Waldorf Hilton opens Good Godfrey's bar and lounge

The Waldorf Hilton has announced the opening of a new bar and lounge, Good Godfrey's.

The newly designed interior features large antiqued mirrors and a bar with illuminated marble, chrome and granite elements.

The venue

takes its name from Howard Godfrey, the celebrity bandleader of the Waldorfians, the Waldorf house band in the 1920s.

Award-winning head mixologist Nelson Bernardes created the drinks list, which includes the Hot Gin Punch, served in a teapot, the Astor Hip Flask, presented in a real hip flask, and the Waldorf-tini, a martini garnished with edible gold.

Good Godfrey's is open all day, serving morning drinks, light bites, afternoon tea and sharing dishes.
