The Institute of Hospitality (IoH) has appointed a new director of professional development.
John Cunningham will be responsible for the institute's portfolio of qualifications, the information services provided to its members, and the forming and maintaining of relationships to increase the availability of qualifications.
Cunningham previously worked for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), and the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC).
Speaking on his move, he said: "I am delighted to have joined the Institute of Hospitality. The qualifications have recently undergone a significant review and we now have a practical, lean set of qualifications in leadership and management.
"We will continue to work with employers and candidates to drive the relevance and industry-leading quality of our qualifications and build on our excellent partnerships with colleges and universities."
