Entries flood in for Scottish Food & Drink Excellence awards
Over fifty entries have been shortlisted for the 2011 Scottish Food & Drink Excellence Awards, it was announced today.
The Food Tourism award shortlists G&G Sinclair - Craigie's Farm Deli & Café, Iain Burnett, the Highland Chocolatier and the Scottish Chocolate Centre and the Waterfront Bar & Seafood Restaurant in Oban.
The Old Course hotel, Nick Nairn's Rivermill Ltd and McGhee's Bakery & Mr Singh's Indian Restaurant are vying for the Success Through Working in Partnerships award.
Other contenders in various categories include Moray Seafoods, Great Glen Game, St James Smokehouse and DipNation's chunky dips.
Still to be announced is the shortlist for the Young Scottish Chef of the Year. Shortlisted entrants will participate in a cook-off in front of a panel of high profile judges including Martin Wishart.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday 26 May. This is the 15th year of the Excellence Awards organised jointly by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland and Scotland Food & Drink.
