Legacy adds two Lincolnshire hotels to its portfolio
Legacy Hotels and Resorts is to take on the management of two properties in Lincolnshire.
The hotel management company will take over the running of the three-star, 25-bedroom Woodhall Spa hotel in Woodhall Spa (pictured) and the three-star, 17-bedroom Lincolnshire Oak hotel in Sleaford, on Tuesday 3 May.
Both hotels are owned by Hoby Hotels. Its owner, Jeremy Walsh, intends to pursue business interests in Switzerland.
"We have been impressed with the professionalism and commitment of Legacy's management and we are looking forward to working with them to further improve our guests' experiences at our hotels," said Walsh.
Andy Townsend, chief executive of Legacy Hotels and Resorts, said the leisure market would be the company's initial priority at the renamed Legacy Woodhall Spa hotel, which dates back to 1882.
"It is situated in a delightful English village with the home of the English Golf Union on its doorstep and attracts golfers wanting to play 18 holes on a course which Golf World Magazine has voted the 19th best in the UK," he said.
"As well as attracting golfers enjoying leisure breaks, the venue is also a popular wedding destination and is situated in an ideal location for those wanting to explore the Wolds."
Legacy Hotels and Resorts now has a portfolio of 36 hotels in the UK and Spain. Earlier this week it announced that it is to manage the Great Hallingbury Manor hotel to prepare it to be sold after its parent company went into administration.
