Hospitality shines on First Women shortlist

Six high-flying personalities from the hospitality industry have been included in the shortlist of the 2011 First Women Awards.

They are: Jennifer Atkinson, chief executive, International Travel Connection; Debrah Dhugga, general manager, Dukes London; Susan Elston, managing director, Aramark's offshore division; Pamela Joseph, commercial director, Bluestone Resorts in Pembrokeshire; Jill McDonald, chief executive, McDonald's Restaurants UK; and Thomasina Miers, founder, Wahaca Restaurants.

They were among 40 women shortlisted in a variety of sectors including finance, business services, retail and consumer, public services, science and technology; manufacturing and engineering and property.

The awards, now in their seventh year, recognise trailblazing women who actively create opportunities for other women to follow their footsteps.

Created and hosted by Real Business and the CBI, Real Business, the awards take place on 30 June at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London.
