Simon Burke steps down as M&B chairman

Mitchells & Butlers chairman Simon Burke is to step down after six months in the role

He is also to step down as a director after 18 months on the board at the company.

Meanwhile his colleague Michael Balfour has also decided to step down as a non-executive director of the company.

Bob Ivell will replace Burke as interim non-executive chairman.

And Ron Robson has been appointed to the role of non-executive deputy chairman. Robson has been a non-executive director on the board since January 2010.
