Elior nets £5m contract with Port Vale FC
Elior's sports stadia business Azure has scored a £5m catering and conferences contract with Port Vale Football Club.
Azure currently operates at Queens Park Rangers, Nottingham Forest and Glasgow Rangers, as well as Durham County Cricket Club, Salford Reds Rugby and the brand new Brighton and Hove Albion Stadium.
Elior said the five-year-deal guarantees the League Two club "significantly improved revenue" from matchday and non-matchday catering provision.
Perry Deakin, chief executive of Port Vale, said that to "secure an agreement with a company of Azure's quality and reputation is a major coup for the club", adding that its confidence in the Club's brand was a major factor during negotiations.
He said: "Azure's expertise across the entire catering and events spectrum also ensures a high quality catering service for the club over the next five years and I am incredibly excited about the partnership which, in addition, will deliver unprecedented revenues for the club in this area of our business."
Malcolm Fox, Azure sales director: "We are very much looking forward to this exciting new partnership with Port Vale which further extends our scope of operations across the stadium and events sector. Port Vale is a club with a great tradition."
All of Port Vale's current catering staff will continue to work at Vale Park as employees of the Elior Group, under TUPE regulations.
