Exclusive Hotels' Lainston House awarded five AA stars

Lainston House hotel, the Exclusive Hotels property in Winchester, Hampshire, has been awarded five AA stars.

Situated within a 17th-century country house in 63 acres of grounds, the 50-bedroom hotel includes the three-AA-rosette Avenue restaurant.

General manager David Connell said the award recognised the unrelenting dedication and hard work of the entire team at the hotel. "We are a family and we take great pride and enjoyment in providing the best possible experience for all our guests," he explained.

Two of Lainston House's sister hotels - Pennyhill Park in Bagshot, Surrey, and South Lodge, near Horsham, West Sussex - also hold five AA stars, while the Manor House Hotel & Golf Club in Castle Combe, Wiltshire, has four stars.
