Former Michelin-starred chef Matt Weedon joins Fallowfields hotel

Matt Weedon, former head chef at the Michelin-starred Lords of the Manor, is joining Fallowfields in Oxfordshire as head chef.

The chef's move comes just three months after he joined the 10 in 8 Fine Dining Group's latest restaurant the Bear at Woodstock as executive chef last November.

Weedon, who previously held a Michelin star at Glenapp Castle in Scotland where was head chef, will be in charge of Fallowfields' fine dining restaurant from 10 March, with his wife Rachel running the front of house.

Fallowfields said in a statement: "Our ambition is to be recognised as one of the best fine dining restaurants in Oxfordshire. From 10 March 2013 our kitchen will be presided over by award winning head chef Matt Weedon."

Weedon replaces 2012 Acorn winner Shaun Dickens who is planning on opening his own restaurant in Oxfordshire in the spring.
