Under-counter refrigeration from Precision Refrigeration

Wednesday 21 February 2007 11:33
Counter 500 series

The trend towards bringing chilled ingredients into the heart of the kitchen right where the chef needs them means that under-counter refrigeration is increasingly popular. However, not all kitchens can accommodate the standard 650-700mm-deep units, so UK manufacturer Precision Refrigeration has launched the Counter 500 Series. The 500mm-deep stainless-steel cabinet accepts standard gastronorm shelves and trays, either 2 x 1/3 or 1 x 2/3, and is available in two-, three- and four-door versions, or each door can be replaced by drawers, in banks of two or three. Standard features include an Easy Breathing condensing unit, which draws and vents through the front panel and means Series 500 counters need little space to the side and back and so can be fitted into very tight spaces. Castors are also standard, making it easy to move the counters for cleaning.

Other options include pass-through condensing units sited to left or right, a chef's drawer over the condensing unit, stainless-steel back, and alternative worktop options including upstands, shelves and heated gantries. Models can be set to fridge (1-4°C) and meat (-2°C to 4°C) temperatures. Prices start at £1,995.
