An inn with holiday cottages on the North Yorkshire moors has been put up for sale for the first time in 22 years.
Whitestonecliffe Inn is within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park between the market towns of Helmsley and Thirsk. It has been owned by Glinis and Paul Hampshire for the past 22 years.
The character property features open fires, beamed ceilings and brasses and incorporates a 30-seat games room, a locals bar, and a lounge bar that can seat more than 50 drinkers.
On the lodging front, there are six en-suite, open-plan holiday cottages along with three-bedroom owners’ accommodation with a large sitting room, kitchen and family bathroom.
Outside, the inn has bench tables to the front and parking for up to 40 cars.
Annual sales of £480,000 are split between dry sales (50%), wet sales (43%) and accommodation (7%).
The business can turn in net annual profits of £68,000 after expenses, including the £42,254-per-annum rent which is set until 2010.
GA-Select is seeking offers of £160,000 for the 10-year Punch lease, which is fully protected and renewable at no further cost when it expires in 2015.
