Tuesday 16 May 2006 15:54

London hotels achieved the highest revenue per available room (revpar) in November 2005 of the 10 European cities listed in the monthly Europe HotStats survey.

Revpar in London hotels grew by 5.9% to €152.46.

The biggest increase was seen in Milan, where hotels boosted revpar by 18% to €113.58 to put it in fourth position in the revpar table behind London, Paris and Amsterdam.

Strong growth was also evident in Paris, where revpar grew by 12.8%, and Berlin with a 14.1% increase.

No other countries acheived double-digit growth in revpar. Dublin, however, suffered a 28.2% plunge in revpar thanks to a 11.3 percentage point fall in occupancy.

The figures are compiled each month by Tri Hospitality Consulting.
