Fast food ideas

Monday 24 May 2004 16:02

DayMark provides food safety systems for caterers, and its latest products are the DayBag and UseBy portion bags for food rotation in restaurants and bigger kitchens. The idea is that, once food is prepped, it can be pre-portioned and stored in the bags for fast serving when an order comes in. The bags have flip-lock tops and panels to indicate when and by whom food was made, when it should be discarded and what it is. The colour-coded bags come in two sizes (61/2 x 7in and 8 x 101/2in). They can be frozen or cooked in a microwave.

Price:
small £29.04, large £35.81 (for 2,000 bags)
