Experienced operator Jo Marks has bought the Snooty Fox in Northamptonshire and its sister business the Snooty Tavern in Cambridgeshire out of administration.
The Snooty Fox on Main Street in Lowick, Northamptonshire, is a 15th-century, Grade II-listed property that was originally built as a manor house.
The business offers a total of 125 seats, including a 25-seat bar, a 56-seat restaurant and a separate bar and series of dining/meeting rooms on the first floor. Two-bedroom accommodation is provided for the owners.
The food-led Snooty Tavern, which lies in the Cambridgeshire village of Great Staughton, features a 20-seat bar, a 34-seat restaurant, a 40-seat function room and three-bedroom owners’ accommodation.
Christie + Co sold the freeholds on behalf of Baker Tilly’s Adrian Allen and Graham Bushby, who were joint administrators for Snooty Inns Limited. They were seeking £750,000 for the Snooty Fox, but the asking price for the Snooty Tavern was not disclosed.
