First Floor restaurant at Harvey Nichols, Dublin
As ever, with the launch of a new Harvey Nichols store, this time in Dublin, comes the opening of a new restaurant. The First Floor restaurant - which is on the top floor - is open all day, is accessible independently of the store and includes a bar with dance floor.

  • Food Start with pan-seared scallops with sauté girolles and bacon essence, then try the fillet of Irish Angus beef, cèpe mushrooms and Madeira jus and end with the hazelnut and chocolate mousse, white chocolate ice-cream and nougatine crush.

The Goring, London
The dining room at the Goring has reopened after a face-lift by designer and cabinet maker David Linley. It combines contemporary design with the room's classic features in shades of meringue, biscuit and toffee, while three Swarovski crystal chandeliers float above.

Nando's, London
South African chain Nando's has just opened its flagship outlet on London's South Bank. It's  housed within railway arches and interiors combine contemporary features among the original brickwork. Like all Nando's eateries, it serves Portuguese flame-grilled Peri-Peri chicken dishes in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Mirror Bar at the Landmark, London
The Mirror Bar is designed to reflect the original 19th-century decor of the Landmark hotel and features antique mirrors, large French windows and a dark colour palette of velvets, damasks, florals and brocades. The bar has an extensive drinks list and is open from 4pm to 11pm daily, with a late licence until 2am for hotel residents.
