Winning a gold at the recent
True Taste of Food and Drink Wales Awards and achieving ‘highly commended’ status in the fresh produce category at the Quality Food Awards have helped secure
Rudolph potatoes a reputation as a brand that provides good taste and versatility.
Fenmarc’s Jo Gigg, said, “The fact that it tastes good and is consistently reliable is a key factor for retailers, chefs and consumers – but the fact that it needs less water and grows well and quickly makes Rudolph a rising star of maincrop potatoes,” said Jo Gigg from Fenmarc, a fresh potato and vegetable grower and supplier established as a farming co-operative over 40 years ago by growers across East Anglia.
Fenmarc has been working closely with TV chef and farmer’s daughter Rachel Green and with 2011
Caterer and Hotelkeeper Acorn Award winner and
Observer Food Monthly’s ‘Young Chef of the Year 2011’ Paul Foster, head chef at
Tuddenham Mill, near Newmarket.
