Exclusive Ranges wins FCSI green equipment

Cooking equipment distributor Exclusive Ranges has won the 2011 FCSI Sustainable Catering Equipment Award from the Foodservice Consultant Society International for its  Net Comfort system, which  eliminates the need for expensive individual meters by monitoring the energy usage of catering appliances.

The system provides data to reduce unnecessary energy consumption, improve operational working practices and identify when there may be a fault with the appliance.  Commercial benefit is achieved by enabling the user to budget forecasts for utility bills.

Net Comfort was considered to be the most sustainable in its practical application from a large number of entries judged by FCSI professional consultants Kate Gould and Gareth Sefton.

The award was presented to Trevor Burke of Exclusive Ranges by FCSI chairman David Bentley at the annual CESA Awards held recently in Oxford.
