The Bristol branch of the award-winning Rajdoot Tandoori chain of Indian restaurants is moving to Frogmore Street after trading for 35 years from Park Street in the Clifton area.
The Rajdoot Tandoori chain, founded in 1966 by V Pathak, is claimed to have introduced the tandoori style to Europe using chefs from India who were skilled in North Indian Moghlia and Punjabi cuisine. It now has venues in Dublin, Manchester, Spain and Birmingham.
The Bristol restaurant will started trading from the end of January on the site of the former Sukoshi Japanese restaurant, which opened in 2002 and is now being relocated to London.
The property has seating for 75 customers in the ground-floor bar restaurant and another 44 seats outside.
The Bristol office of Christie + Co sold the leasehold of an asking price of £125,000 on behalf of Sukoshi owner James Ruciman..
