Suie Lodge hotel

The Salisbury family from Staffordshire are the new owners of Suie Lodge hotel, a former hunting lodge in Luib, Perthshire.

The property was built around 1860 on the Breadalbane Estate and its name relates to St Fillan, who had his seat (or suie) of learning there. An ancient Clan McNab burial site remains opposite the hotel.

It occupies an elevated roadside site mid-way between Killin and  Crianlarich on the A85 tourist route north to Oban and Fort William.

The two-star hotel offers 10 bedrooms (eight  of which are en-suite), a 19-seat dining room, a bar lounge,  and a traditional bar that can seat 20.

The owners’ accommodation includes two bedrooms (one en-suite), a lounge and a kitchenette.

The Glasgow office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off a guide price of £325,000 on behalf of Peter and Betty Shoulders.
