Macdonald Macphee Developments has snapped up the Bay hotel in the medieval Cornish fishing village of Port Isaac.
The village will be familiar to fans of the TV series Doc Martin as the fictional town of Portwenn.
The three-storey property overlooks the bay at Port Isaac and is within easy reach of local attractions such as Padstow, Boscastle and Tintagel.
It offers eight individually-themed en-suite bedrooms, a snug/sitting room, a guest lounge and a 20-seat dining room.
The owners’ accommodation provides a double bedroom with a dressing area, a bathroom with a spa bath, and a living room with a working fire.
The Exeter office Christie + Co was seeking offers in excess of £600,000 for the freehold on behalf of John Hawes and Jacki Burns.
