Gordon Ramsay and his protégés have dominated the Tio Pepe Carlton Restaurant Awards shortlist.
Restaurant Gordon Ramsay was shortlisted for French Restaurant of the Year, Angela Hartnett is the first female chef to be named in the Outstanding London Chef category, while her restaurant Menu at the Connaught is up for Outstanding Front of House Award.
Pétrus and the Savoy Grill, run by Marcus Wareing, are up for Most Exceptional Wine List and British Restaurant of the Year respectively, while Boxwood Café is a contender for one of the two new awards, American Restaurant of the Year. The Anchor and Hope, the Havelock Tavern, the House, the Wells and the Rocket are all in the running for the other new award, London Gastropub of the Year.
Chefs Tom Aikens and Morgan M's Morgan Meunier were also named in the Outstanding London Chef category.
