Ollie Couillaud to open restaurant at London's Grosvenor House

French chef Ollie Couillaud has revealed details of his forthcoming restaurant at London’s Grosvenor House hotel.

Bord’eaux, which will open in mid-February, will be a 160-cover informal restaurant with outdoor terrace and private dining room. It will also include a small wine bar, a café, and a boutique for gifts and takeaways.

Chef-patron Couillaud will oversee the kitchen, with the menu focusing on regional food from the western coast of France.

Dishes will range from simple soups and salads to specialties including duck confit with pommes sarladaise; entrecôte grillée bordelaise; and andouillette pommes frites.

Front-of-house will be overseen by restaurant manager Michele Linley.

Couillaud told Caterersearch he was thrilled about opening the restaurant. “I have been working for this for many years so it’s really exciting.”

“I have a great relationship with Grosvenor House and we both have the same goal: creating a restaurant where people can feel comfortable and appreciate our passion for great food and service whether they want to spend £5 or £100 a head.”

Couillaud last year oversaw the launch of Tom Aikens’ second restaurant Tom’s Place in London’s Chelsea, where he was head chef, but left just months after the opening.
