Gordon Ramsay has launched a search for a female chef who can fill the shoes of legendary TV cook Fanny Cradock.
In an initiative to promote the forthcoming series of Channel 4’s The F Word, Ramsay wants to find a new female cook who can share Cradock’s love of food with the audience.
According to the publicity information, Ramsay is “genuinely fed up with the glut of alpha-male chefs crowding the screen and battling for supremacy and is horrified by the lack of women cooks – especially on telly”.
To enter the competition, dubbed "Find Me a Fanny" and open to any female chef, go to www.findmeafanny.com.
The winner will appear on the F-Word, which returns in the summer.
