The Cross Keys

The leasehold on popular Buckinghamshire pub, the Cross Keys, has been sold to Mark Hadfield.

The 17th-century, Grade II-listed property has a prime position in the heart of Great Missenden and benefits from being the closest pub to the railway station in the commuter town.

Great Missenden lies in the Chiltern Hills in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that is just 36 miles north of West London.

The 38-seat restaurant and 20-seat bar are packed with period details such as low beams and exposed brick hearths.

There is also a self-contained, two-bedroom owners’ suite while the 16-seat trade patio in the large gardens scooped the Fuller’s Best Garden Award in 2006.

The Reading office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the 10-year Fuller’s lease (which started in November 2002) off a guide price of £110,000. Rent is currently set at £38,247.
