Quilon restaurant opens Q Bar to complete refurbishment
Michelin-starred Quilon restaurant in London's Westminster has opened its new Q Bar, completing the restaurant's first redesign in 12 years.
The restaurant will also be introducing brand new wine and beer lists selected by executive chef Sriram Aylur and master of wine Peter McCombie.
The wine list will include 135 bins from well-known producers as well as more boutique vineyards and lesser-known regions around the world. There will also be a whisky list with over 50 varieties, while the 20-strong beer list will include a selection of British, vintage and world beers, alongside spiced cocktails.
Aylur said: "We've always wanted to have a stand-alone bar at the restaurant - not simply somewhere for diners to have pre-dinner drinks, but a place for people to pop into on the way past for a quick drink and a snack, or to come to for a wind-down after work. ‘Q Bar' will be fun and relaxed, while maintaining Quilon's elegance and atmosphere."
There will be a bar canapé menu, specially created by head chef Ramesh Ganiga, including crispy fried spiced silver fish; tamarind glazed chicken winglets; semolina chips with tomato chutney and batter fried plaintain, asparagus and baby carrot with artichoke dip.
