Bradley Burnett has joined the De Vere Cavendish St James's hotel in London as front-of-house manager. The New Zealander was previously bars manager at the De Vere Slaley Hall hotel in Hexham, Northumberland.
Vicky La Trobe has left Millenium & Copthorne Hotels to join Choice Hotels Europe in the same role of director of marketing. She will be based in Edgware, Middlesex.
Whitbread Restaurants has beefed up its acquisitions team with four appointments:
Leon Guyett has joined as acquisitions manager for the west region for Brewsters and Brewers Fayre. He was acquisitions manager at health club company Fitness First in Poole, Dorset.
Stephen Holloway has joined Whitbread-owned Costa Coffee as acquisitions manager. He was previously an associate in the retail department of property surveyor Knight Frank.
Claire Pinnell has moved from her post as analyst for the Marriott Hotels and Travel Inn acquisitions department to site identifications manager for Brewsters and Brewers Fayre. Midlands-based Luminar Leisure has bid farewell to acquisition manager
Steve Seager, now with TGI Friday's in the same role. All appointees are attached to Whitbread Restaurants' headquarters in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, although their roles are highly mobile and involve frequent travel.
Food supplier Yearsley Group has refurbished its cold storage and distribution depot at Coleshill, Birmingham, and appointed
Nigel Wilson as general manager. He was operations manager for chilled food at logistics business Christian Salvesen, which has its corporate office in Northampton.

Graham Gilbert sales director within its catering and support services division, based in Hayes, Middlesex. He was regional managing director, business and industry division, at Sodexho.
London Wine merchant Bibendum has created a new team to handle the independent merchant sector of the market and has promoted
Patrick Mallinson to agency sales manager responsible for all independent merchants, including the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. He was national account manager for the company.
Rainer Bangert is the new resident manager of the Crowne Plaza Prague hotel. He was deputy general manager for the Hilton Karlsruhe hotel in Ettlingen, Germany.
London's Park Lane has welcomed back
Vicki Richards. She returns in the role of director of sales at the recently opened Marriott Park Lane hotel. Richards joins from the Renaissance London Chancery Court hotel, where she held the same position. She began her Park Lane career in 1993 as sales co-ordinator at the London Hilton.
Stately home Castle Ashby in Northamptonshire has taken on
Paul Ryan as its new food and beverage manager. Ryan moved to Castle Ashby from London's Le Méridien Grosvenor House hotel, where he worked as conference and banqueting operations manager.
Ian Senior has joined the Shire Hotels group as assistant hotel manager at the Oaks hotel, Burnley, Lancashire. He had been studying European travel and hospitality management at New College Durham.

Mark Ashton. He was previously food and beverage manager at Tylney Hall hotel, Rotherwick, Hampshire.
Obituary
Jean Conil, founder and life president of the Epicurean World Master Chefs Society, has died, aged 85. Born in Fontenay-Le-Comte, France, he trained in Paris before moving to London and founding the International Academy of Chefs. He was the author of more than 100 cookbooks.
