Conrad Gallagher, former celebrity chef and Michelin star holder, has been granted bail in Dublin following his extradition from the USA to face theft charges. Bail was initially refused when he appeared at Dublin's Circuit Criminal Court last Thursday.
Gallagher, who had been flown back from New York under police escort, is now awaiting trial on charges that he stole three paintings owned by the Fitzwilliam hotel on St Stephen's Green, which had housed his Peacock Alley restaurant. His trial is expected to take place next month.
