Millennium point is an iconic landmark complex located in Eastside, Birmingham with a total footfall of 1 million a year. Visitor attractions Thinktank and IMAX attract 200,000 visitors annually plus academic institutions and marketing businesses attracting around 4000 students and business visitors every day. The proposed new City Park to border Millennium Point and surrounding commercial developments will further add to the visitor potential. The current established but fragmented catering and events business has a combined turnover of in excess of £900,000. A strategic review has resulted in a decision to seek expressions of interest.
Experienced event and catering operators are invited to consider the following opportunities:
A) Event catering across the complex – current F&B turnover circa £215K
B) Event marketing, selling and managing – current hire turnover circa £280K
C) Retail catering across three outlets – current turnover circa £470K
D) Any combination of the above – overall value in excess of £900K
You may express interest in all or part of these permutations depending on your company’s experience in venue catering, marketing and /or selling
To be considered please provide the following information:
1. Company name, address, registration and most recent accounts
2. Three customer references plus brief case study relevant to the opportunity in which you are interested
3. A brief history of your expertise, particularly where you have successfully built venue sales and retail catering income
4. Single A4 page on why you would be a suitable partner to Millennium Point and Thinktank
5. A short profile of two individuals who will work on your submission should you be invited to tender
6. Indication of your willingness to enter into an agreement where you would be required to fund some sales and marketing resources either by personnel or by contribution
