Kew Green Hotels plans to build a new Courtyard by Marriott hotel close to Gatwick Airport’s south terminal.
A planning application for the 220-bed hotel will be submitted to Crawley Borough Council this autumn.
If the planning application is successful, construction will start in spring next year and should be completed by summer 2008.
The £20m development will be the second hotel located at the south terminal, following a deal signed between Kew Green and BAA Lynton.
A spokeswoman for BAA Lynton said: “Kew Green has done its market research and is confident there is ample demand in Gatwick for a new mid-market hotel.”
