London-based gastro pub group Renaissance Pubs has sold its Cinnamon Cay restaurant in Battersea as it “no longer met with the core identity” of the portfolio.
The company, which was founded by Nick Fox, Tom Peake and Mark Reynolds, has sold the 45-cover restaurant on Lavender Hill to a local operator for an undisclosed sum.
The new owner plans to run it as the Bangkok Boulevard.
Renaissance Pubs operates five food-led pubs in South-west London, including the Stonhouse, the Avalon, the Abbeville, and the White Hart. It opened its latest site, the Bollingbroke, in Battersea, last September.
Steve Darbon, director of Christie & Co, which sold Cinnamon Cay, said the sale demonstrates the demand for good quality restaurant sites in South-west London.
“Despite the tougher trading climate at present restaurateurs are still actively seeking out opportunities,” he said.
