Cone Carrier

Thursday 18 March 2004 10:41

Walking along the promenade, sun beating down, ice-cream cone in hand- and er, ice-cream on hand. It is one of the perennial challenges to enjoying an ice-cream. But now, thanks to a new invention causing a buzz  in the USA, sticky fingers could soon be a predicament of the past. The buddy system is a plastic cone (available in four sizes to fit all cones) that catches drips from the top or from holes in the cone. It also provides a barrier against bacteria, so dirty hands won't contaminate the cone.
