BDL Management add nine Ramada hotels to portfolio
BDL Management have taken over the management of nine Ramada hotels, following the expiry of the landlords' lease agreement with Ramada Jarvis.
The agreement takes the BDL Management portfolio of owned and managed hotels up to 46, with nearly 5000 rooms and 2,500 staff.
All the hotels will continue to operate under the Ramada brand.
Louis Woodcock, chief executive of BDL Management said that the hotels are a strong addition to the group and current brand mix. "We look forward to bringing our extensive expertise and skills to the ongoing operation of these hotels," he said.
The hotels joining BDL are located in Farnham, Solihull, Hemel Hempsted, Guildford, London Hyde Park, Ealing, London Gatwick, Hatfield and Sutton Coldfield.
BDL operates hotels across a variety of brands, as a result of agreements with InterContinental Hotel Group, Wyndham Hotel Group and Best Western. It also operates independent properties such at The Point in Edinburgh and the Five lakes Hotel, Country Club & Spa in Maldon, Essex.
Yesterday it was announced that Exclusive Hotels has bought the 63-bedroom Royal Berkshire hotel, formerly operated by Ramada Jarvis, which now has 30 hotels around the UK.
