Olive Catering Services wins Capital One deal

Olive Catering Services has won a “landmark” deal to provide staff feeding at financial services provider Capital One, Caterersearch can reveal.

The caterer, which is based in Warwickshire, has signed a contract believed to be worth close to £800,000 in annual turnover, replacing long-term incumbent Avenance, part of Elior.

The deal will see Olive provide staff feeding and some hospitality at Capital One’s Nottingham offices starting later this summer.

From August, the financial services firm’s staff will move into a newly refurbished building at the Nottingham site and Olive into a newly designed staff restaurant.

Damon Brown, co-director with Sally-Ann Bradley and Andrew Norrie, said: “This is a real landmark win for Olive and the business today is very much where we wanted to be when we launched five years ago.”

Rebecca Jarman, facilities manager at Capital One, said: “Despite heavy competition from other outstanding catering organisations Olive’s enthusiastic approach and innovative ideas towards our catering tender process and their extreme passion for food and service excellence captured Capital One’s culture and made them the perfect choice for our new restaurant facility.”

Last November, Olive netted a £1.75m total turnover deal at Heinz’s head office in Hayes, Middlesex, which was also previously run by Avenance. The win marked the Midland caterer’s first move south.

Both Heniz and Capital One’s offices are managed by facilities management company Dalkia.
