STR Global: West Midland hotel performance in December 2007

Hotels in the West Midlands increased revenue per available room (revpar) by 5% during the month of December.

Revpar was £41.07 in December 2007, compared with £39.12 in the corresponding month of 2006, according to figures from hospitality research company STR Global.

Occupancy grew by 0.4 percentage points to 60% while average room rate increased by 4.3% to £68.40, compared with £65.60 in December 2006.
