Michelin-starred chef Hans Neuner from Portugal is among the line-up of 10 chefs taking part in next year's Obsession food and wine festival at Northcote, Langho, Lancashire.
Now in its 12th year, the event has seen more than 70 chefs appear on the Northcote stage in what has become one of the UK's most prominent food events.
On 10 consecutive nights, from 23 January to 1 February 2012, a diverse range of chefs will cook a one-night-only menu especially created for the event.
Nigel Haworth, managing director and chef-patron of Northcote, said he is as excited as ever about Obsession. "There's a new generation of talent coming through the industry and we are never short of finding chefs who want to join our gallery of Obsession chefs. I'm really looking forward to it."
The 2012 festival will feature Claude Bosi (Hibiscus, London); Bryn Williams (Odette's, London); Madalene Bonvini-Hamel (British Larder, Suffolk); Lisa Allen (Northcote, Blackburn); Simon Rimmer (Greens, Didsbury), Hans Neuner (Ocean Restaurant, Portugal); Michael Smith (The Three Chimneys, Isle of Skye); Aktar Islam (Lasan, Birmingham); Tom Kerridge (Hand and Flowers, Marlow); Antonin Bonnett (The Greenhouse, London) and Nigel Haworth (Northcote).
Originally from the Tyrol region of Austria, Neuner's formative years were spent learning from his mentor Karlheinz Hauser at the Hotel Adlon in Berlin. He then moved to Portgual and in 2009 achieved a Michelin star at Ocean, located in the five-star Vila Vita Parc hotel on the Algarve.
