A new lease has been sold on Ella’s Licensed Restaurant and Café Bar in Torquay, part of the English Riviera resort of Torbay.
The business is in a prime site at 16 Victoria Parade where it overlooks Torquay’s harbour and marina and is just a short distance from the Living Coast, a new multi-million pound visitor attraction centre.
The three-storey building – accessed by sliding, glazed full-length folding doors – can seat 26 diners on the ground floor and another 34 on the first-floor where the dining area commands panoramic views of the inner harbour. The forecourt paving area provides 20 more seats.
A private, two-bedroom flat is provided on the second floor.
Ella's holds a 2am licence, although it has generally opened between 10am and 11pm in the main season, closing earlier at 4pm in the autumn and completely in the winter to reopen in late March or April.
Riccardo De Paulis of Bettesworths sold the new, 15-year lease off a guide price of £39,950 to local operator Wayne Knott, who has catering experience.
