Vertice 2005 from PLB

The Vertice 2005 (14.5% abv) is a Carmenère and Syrah blend developed by Chilean producer Viňa Ventisquero's Felipe Tosso and Australian winemaker John Duval, with the intention of sitting beneath the flagship Pangea.

Grapes are hand-harvested on the upper slopes of Colchagua's Apalta vine-growing area, and the winemakers believe the soils help to produce aromatic wines with great complexity, structure and elegance.

After blending, the wines are aged in French oak barrels for 18 months and for a further nine months in bottles before release.
