Cuvée Dame Honneur and Le Pigeonnier

Le Pigeonnier (2000) (14% abv), from Château Lagrezette in the South of France, is made from 100% Malbec grapes.

It has an inky, purple colour and is vinified in a wooden foudre then aged for 28 months in new oak barrels to give it an intense flavour of blackberries, liquorice and smoke.

Described as a wine for special occasions, Le Pigeonnier is a powerful and full-bodied wine with aromas of candied fruits, cinnamon and roasted coffee.

The Cuvée Dame Honneur 2003 (13% abv) also belongs to the Château Lagrezette portfolio and is produced from the oldest vines of the estate. It combines 91% Malbec and 9% Merlot grape varieties to give a powerful and rounded finish.

Aged in oak barrels for 24 months, the Cuvée Dame Honneur has a deep garnet colour and red fruit fragrances blended with vanilla and spice notes.
