Shepherd's Cottage wines

Shepherd's Cottage limited edition wines from South Africa's Overgaauw vineyards have been developed by David Van Velden Jr.

The range is made from grapes grown on south-facing vineyards set next to the waters of False Bay.

Several styles are available, including a Chardonnay, Semillon, Chenin Blanc 2007 (13% abv), which is described as crisp, refreshing and dry with herbaceous nuances; Pinotage Ros‚ 2007 (14% abv), described as medium dry with delicate red berry flavours; and Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2005 (14% abv), a soft and round wine with rich black berry fruit flavours and a hint of chocolate.
