The new two-in-one battery-operated AX 651 Multi EDS from Nilfisk aims to cut the cost, and time, of commercial cleaning by tackling both hard and soft floor surfaces.
The walk-behind carpet extractor can be converted into a scrubber/dryer in less than a minute, using simple touch-screen controls. It is fitted with the Nilfisk EDS (Eco Dosage System), which dispenses the correct amount of detergent directly to the scrub deck.
Push-button controls allow operators to adjust the brush pressure or choose between pre-spray, low-moisture or restoration modes.
The low-moisture option will clean and dry a carpet in less than 30 minutes, while the restoration of heavily soiled areas involves agitating a pre-spray detergent into the surface and then extracting it with clean water. In scrubber/dryer mode, 100% water pick-up is promised.
The machine has an on-board battery charger, an easy-clean recovery tank and low noise levels of 66dB(A) during scrubbing and 69 dB(A) during extraction.
