Members of the T&G trade union demonstrated outside the Raffles-owned Swissotel Howard in London at lunchtime today in protest at the treatment by the group of workers in Cambodia.
The T&G is backing the International Union of Food and Hotel Workers, which says the management of the Raffles hotel at Angkor in Cambodia has sacked more than 300 staff in a row over the distribution of service charges.
Raffles had hoped to put the long-running dispute behind it after signing a bargaining agreement with more than 200 unionised employees at the hotel.
But the unions claim this has simply created a "yellow" union, designed to to the bidding of the company with no questions asked.
